Chapter 13 - Question #3

As a public relations professional I feel that public communication is very important for a company. Not only will it help get the name out to the media to further enhance the brand but it will also allow the stakeholders to get a glimpse inside the company. The only drawback is that the one giving the public speech needs to be very eloquent in his or her delivery style. The one aspect that can kill a campaign is a bad speech. It is the job of the public relations specialist to choose the best candidate who will execute the presentation in a colloquial manner

  1. I too find that public communication is important. But public communication isn’t just useful for a specific kind of job. It is important for every job. One must be able to overcome shyness and deliver a speech in front of the people that we work with. I know that speaking in front of a large crowd is terrifying but the book gave great advice on how to conquer this. The book did give awesome advice on how to construct a speech and what are some of the most effective ways to deliver a speech. This book is very helpful on all issues regarding public communication.

Online advertising is certainly going to getting more and more revenue the more we "exist" online. This class gave me insight into the beginning of an important way of life. I hope that I can keep all of the course concepts in mind when beginning my career and the rest of my life.
